Senator John MacCain Visits Benghazi-Libya (April, 22)

     U.S. senator John McCain is in Benghazi today. He called for increased military support for Libya's fighters by providing them with weapons, training, and more airstrikes. MacCain met with members from the National Transitional Council, visited wounded people in some hospitals, and attended a training session for the newly enlisted freedom fighters.

     McCain was well received among Libyans in Benghazi. MacCain said that “Libyan rebels are my hero”.
